This is the first time Ive made a blog and it's been quite interesting... Ive learned a lot of different things such as uploading video's onto a blog site and all the different ways to make a blog look interesting. My favorite part was customizing the look of my page with pictures, video's (Even though i couldn't manage to change to a custom template..) and creating the composite image. In the future i hope to make a better blog site to hold all my favorite stuff and design work :) Cheers to all the people who commented on my work:-

Project 3 in 104 (computer class) Above, on and below.

The project had the challenge of finding a way to follow our desired field of design through the use of a popular computer game called Unreal Tournament 3.

Unreal Tournament is one of those team player, Fantasy, Shoot-em-up games. The best part is creating your own terrain/scenario map to play.

We had to create a space below and a space above the rest of the terrain. Then have them link with moving objects.

I wanted to create a landscape area. So basically no buildings and lots of terrain like waterfalls, Mountains and random caves.

The next task was to present it in a website to put across all the work we had done.
The outcome of the website was really good with using DreamWeaver. It was not as back-breaking as the fickle relationship with other programs. (Nothing going your way, Sound familiar?)

Making a game map for a assignment was good fun. I suggest everyone have a go at creating one. Best assignment ever x)

Landscape Design Sites Of Interest

Listed are three sites of interest which are useful to look at for tips and hints to do with landscape design.

Site one, LiveDesign, has a simple yet interesting format style and is easy to navigate. It contains service prices and a portfolio of pictures. http://www.livedesign.co.nz/

Favorite Design Project

My favorite project so far in my first year at Design has to be project 3 for 104 (computering class) Called Above, On and Below.

The project gave us the challenge of finding a way to follow our desired field of design through the use of a popular computer gaming software called Unreal Tournament 3.

If you dont know what Unreal Tournament is, It's a computer game program.

Not only did we need to master our skills of the confusing program, we also had to learn how to use three other equally difficult programs:- DreamWeaver, Solid Works and 3DS Max (not including PhotoShop). They were used to make the movers in the game plus website that would host all work done.

After creating all this, the next task was to present it all in a website to put across all the work i had done.
I was pleased on the outcome of the website with using DreamWeaver. It was fun and not as back-breaking as the fickle relationship with the other programs. (i.e Nothing going your way, Sound familiar?)
